Stockholm public transport makes it possible to get around the city on SL services, including the Metro, buses, commuter rail, trams and ferries. Rådmansgatan is the closest of three nearby stations, and single-journey tickets cover unlimited SL travel during their validity period.
- Nearest station: Rådmansgatan is about a 7-minute walk from Hotel Bema.
- Other nearby stations: Hötorget is a 10-minute walk away; Odenplan is a 9–11-minute walk away.
- Single journey: An SL ticket is valid for 75 minutes and allows unlimited travel on SL services during that period.
- Ways to pay: Use the SL app, a contactless card or mobile device, or an SL card.

Nearby stations and their roles
Rådmansgatan, Hötorget and Odenplan are three nearby stations to consider when setting out.
Rådmansgatan is a Metro station. The nearest bus stop named for this area is Tegnergatan. SL’s network includes hundreds of bus lines, alongside the Metro, commuter rail, commuter ferries, trams and light railways across Stockholm County. For a particular destination, check the SL app or other SL information to find the relevant service and stop.
For an airport arrival, see the guide to getting from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport to the hotel. It covers that journey separately from getting around the city once you arrive.

Choosing tickets and travel passes
An SL 75-minute single-journey ticket is one option for a trip or linked trips, while contactless payment is another way to travel.
The single-journey ticket allows unlimited travel on SL services during its 75-minute validity. If your trip involves an interchange, make the final change before the ticket expires. SL also accepts contactless cards and mobile devices for pay-as-you-go travel.
Single-journey tickets are available in the SL app, by contactless card, from staff at Metro and commuter rail station ticket booths, at SL Centers and from ticket agents. You cannot buy one on board with cash.
SL also offers a reusable green smart card. The former SL Access ticket system is no longer in use, so don’t rely on it as a current way to travel.
Fares and card conditions can change, so check the official site before you go. SL says a contactless card must be registered at least one day before travel to qualify for the discounted single-journey fare.

Using the metro, buses and connections
On the Metro and commuter rail, tap in at the station barriers with your SL card, app ticket or contactless card.
On buses, passengers generally board at the front and tap in with an SL card, app ticket or contactless card. SL notes that inspectors at some city-centre locations may admit passengers through the rear doors. Follow the boarding arrangements in place when you travel.
SL’s system has no touch-out. Keep your valid ticket available in case an inspector asks to see it: a passenger who cannot show a valid ticket may receive a penalty fare, as well as the price of a single ticket.
If a journey requires a connection, keep the 75-minute validity in mind. Your final interchange must take place before the single-journey ticket expires. For stations outside the city, smaller country stations may not have barriers; passengers there need to tap at an SL ticket post or buy a ticket in advance.

Getting from the hotel to central sights
Walking and public transport can both help you reach central Stockholm, depending on your destination.
Stockholm city centre is about a 24-minute walk away. Nearby landmarks also give you options for a short walk: Tegnérlunden is about 1 minute away, the Strindberg Museum about 3 minutes, and Norra Bantorget and Strindbergs Intima Teater about 4 minutes each. Spökparken and Vasateatern are about 6 minutes away on foot.
